Career
Course
This four week course is designed as a
foundation for those wishing to enter the industry and those
with more than just a passing interest in flowers. It is an
intensive twenty day course that begins with basic flower
purchasing and progresses from the conditioning and life span of
the many varieties to the use of colour and texture with vases
and containers.
Starting with the basics, the students
will develop their skills to encompass grander pedestals and
displays for weddings and parties.
The curriculum begins with basic shop
work, e.g. Vases, Hand Tied and standard table pieces. It then
progresses into funeral flowers and bridal work. The course
culminates in a presentation from the students of their own
wedding designs.
All areas of this course will begin with
technical instruction and develop into expression of our own
very special design philosophy. The classes will remain small,
with a maximum of fourteen students, to ensure each student is
given the utmost guidance and attention. All materials required
by the student will be provided throughout the course.
It is possible to complete the career
course through our evening course programme. Please be aware
that to attain the equivalent career course qualification, it
may take up to eighteen months
