CLASSIC DESIGN

This one day class will look at classic floral design and we’ll teach it with Jane Packer style.  Yes to tradition, but no to old fashioned!  A day of Jane’s interpretation on how to use those old favorites.  Whether it’s a traditionally shaped arrangement, container or bloom, we’ll mix them up with the new and fashionable to give the designs cutting edge style.  The day will include two of the basic floristry techniques, hand tying and arranging in floral foam.  This course is perfect for a beginner and creative enough to advance any novice. 

CONTEMPORARY DESIGN

This day will be filled with Jane’s most up to date contemporary designs.  Thinking outside of the box, this day will be inspired by current trends in fashions and interiors and we’ll use funky colors, containers and stunning blooms in an unusual way.  Gone is the day of those fuddy duddy arrangements!  We will combine a number of basic skills with some floristry tricks to create some eye-catching designs – a great day out for the trend conscious! 

WEDDING WORKSHOP

This one day wedding workshop will give you a small taster of wedding floristry.  We’ll combine two essential techniques to create a basic selection of bridal flowers.  We’ll show you how to create a hand tied bridal bouquet, and combine it with a corsage.  This will give any budding florist an insight into bridal floristry. 

HALLOWEEN DESIGN

Join our frightfully stylish Halloween evening class this fall.  During this fright night fun filled class we’ll show you some basic floristry techniques.  We’ll be using some ethereal branches and spooky blooms to create a design that’s just drop dead gorgeous!!!  Join this epidemic before it’s too late! 

COMPLETE THANKSGIVING DESIGN

Join us for a feast of ideas for thanksgiving this fall for our complete thanksgiving class.  During this class we’ll demonstrate 2 items for you to make and take away to decorate your home for this festive season.  In the morning you’ll make a wreath from burnished and gilded autumnal foliages laced with garlands of cranberries and spices.  After a short break and some light refreshments we’ll then take you through making a sumptuous table center design of blooms fruits and vegetables to celebrate this harvest time.  Rich, warm tones of fall fit for any banquet table. 

COMPLETE HOLIDAY DESIGN

This festive season at Jane Packer come and join us to create your own decorations for the holidays.  On each of our 1 day courses you’ll learn 2 essential seasonal floristry techniques of wreath making and traditional arranging.  Your day will start at 11am and finish at 3.30pm.  You’ll make a wreath in the morning and a table center in the afternoon to complete your festive look at home.  Choose from 2 styles classic or contemporary, to match your style at home and look forward to a day of fun and inspiration whilst enjoying a glass of mulled wine and a holiday treat.

CLASSIC HOLIDAY DESIGN

This traditional combination of white and gold tones combine unusual and interesting textures inspired by wooded snow capped mountains.  Fresh seasonal pine foliages and cones are combined with skeleton leaves and fluffy cotton pods.  Classic white roses sit beautifully amongst glistening bark for this stylish look. 

CONTEMPORARY HOLIDAY DESIGN

This recognized festive, red and silver combination has been given a modern feel.  Garlands of stunning shiny frosted berries in sumptuous tones of red are paired with robust Nordman pine foliage and cones.  These red berries are a striking contrast to the shiny silver leaves and framed images which create the sleek contemporary look.   

CAREER COURSE

Our four week career course is designed as a foundation for those wishing to enter the industry and those with more than just a passing interest in flowers. This intensive course will give you a solid training in floristry from the home of the world's leading florist and the famous floristry school which also has established branches worldwide (London, Tokyo and Seoul). Starting with fundamental techniques, flower care, buying, and design, the course progresses to incorporate all areas of contemporary floral design, including specialist decorating and wedding work. The curriculum begins with technical instruction and develops into expression of our design philosophy. All materials, products and equipment required by the student are provided. By the end of the course you will have a basic set of containers, a comprehensive portfolio of design.

 TERMS AND CONDITIONS

A deposit of 50% secures you a place on the above courses. Once the deposit has been paid this is a confirmed booking. This deposit is not refundable if cancellation is less than a month prior to the start date of the course. A $35 fee will be charged if the student wishes to transfer a course booking less than a month prior to the commencement of the course.

Transfers to another course must be made at least seven days prior to the start of the original course.

Cancellation by us: Cancellation of a course would be a very rare decision. However, we reserve the right to cancel a class for any reason. We will refund your course fee in full should a class be cancelled. It is an explicit term of our booking conditions that you will not hold us to account for any incidental expenses that you may incur due to the cancellation of a class.
