Flowers for Entertaining

Flowers for entertaining focuses on floral designs perfect for any celebration at home. Seasonal flowers will be used to make a beautiful arrangements fit for any dining table from a black tie dinner to a summer garden party.

Pedestal

This is brand new class that will be focusing on a large design for events and functions. Two very different styles of pedestal arrangements will be demonstrated and made.

Supermarket Surprise

During this class we will show you how to get the most out of your “luck lustre” supermarket bunch! We advise you on how to create some super designs from a typical bunch. These simple and effective ideas in a range of containers are yours to take home. Join us and be inspired!

Contemporary Hand – Tied

The contemporary Jane Packer hand tied is the most creative style of hand tied bouquet.  It is also the most difficult.  It will normally include some form of accessory and will consist of unusual materials.  We often use accessories within our designs inspired by the latest high street fashions.  This is where we think outside of the box! 

 Classic Hand – Tied

The Jane Packer loose open hand tied design uses longer stemmed flowers.  The blooms are usually mixed together with foliages in between; the blooms are not clustered in groups.  At Jane Packer we would usually create this classic style with garden flowers in tones and shades of all one colour.  The choice of a monochromatic colour scheme and unusual garden blooms is Jane Packer’s interpretation of this classic design. 

 Classic Vase Arrangement

This class shows students how to create a very classical look, similar to an English country garden, using seasonal flowers such as roses, peonies, sweet peas, ivy, hydrangea. Romantic flowers are used and students learn how to arrange flowers straight into vase.

Contemporary Vase Arrangement

Focusing on contemporary methods, we show you how to make unusual vase designs using materials such as gravel, gel, feathers. Designs will include a minimalist arrangement and a massed arrangement.

 Wedding Workshop : Wiring Works

This lesson includes different techniques of wiring and this lesson is primarily for the practice of wiring and taping of flower stems for bridal work, like, buttonholes and corsages .

 Wedding Workshop : Bridal Bouquet

This lesson focuses on teaching the most popular bridal bouquet – domed shape bouquet. We always select prime blooms to have fun to work with!

Flowers with a Friend

This is a class which gives you the opportunity to spend time with a special person. You will be shown how to make glorious arrangements that you will both be able to take home. This two for one offer allows the two of you to enjoy the class together.

Fun with Mom

This class gives you the opportunity to spend time with Mom in an unusual way – floral workshop. This two for one offer allows the two of you to enjoy the class together. You will be shown how to make glorious arrangements that you will both be able to take home. And IT`S A GREAT PRESENT FOR MOTHER`S DAY!!!

Private Courses

Private classes can be tailored to your particular requirements. From a fun pre-wedding day out, a special birthday treat, to a detailed and specialized floral workshop focusing on your specific area of interest. Our classes can be themed and designed with special flowers or colors in mind. We can adjust the skill level from basic floral items to advanced and technical creations.

Full day classes can accommodate 12 students, with space for 6 students in our half day class space. We also provide private evening classes, which can accommodate up to 12 students.

Prices start at $300 for a 2 hour lesson which accommodates one piece. Prices for other private classes depends on the number of participants and the type of class.

Bachelorette Party

Host your private hen party at Jane Packer Flower School for the perfect, unique way to start your hen party celebrations. Combining fun and creativity each hen will be instructed on how to make their own floral arrangement. To make the occasion even more special, hens are offered a glass (or two) of champagne to enjoy whist creating their floral design.

$100 per person

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

A deposit of 50% secures you a place on the above courses. Once the deposit has been paid this is a confirmed booking. This deposit is not refundable if cancellation is less than a month prior to the start date of the course. A $35 fee will be charged if the student wishes to transfer a course booking less than a month prior to the commencement of the course.

Transfers to another course must be made at least seven days prior to the start of the original course.

Cancellation by us: Cancellation of a course would be a very rare decision. However, we reserve the right to cancel a class for any reason. We will refund your course fee in full should a class be cancelled. It is an explicit term of our booking conditions that you will not hold us to account for any incidental expenses that you may incur due to the cancellation of a class.
